Snappy Sloppy Joes
1. Finely chop the onion, carrot and celery. 2. Place the olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium high heat. 3. Add the vegetables and sauté until soft, approx 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent vegetables from browning. 4. Add the ground beef and cook until all pink is gone and the meat is cooked through, about 8 minutes. 5. Stir in the tomato paste and the Dulcet Sweet Orange Chile Ketchup and heat through. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 7. To make the Joes more sloppy, add 1/4-1/2 c water if needed. Makes 6 sloppy joes Hint: for a different twist, substitute Dulcet Sweet Orange Chile Ketchup with the Dulcet Moroccan or Curry Ketchups. Can also be made with ground lamb, chicken or turkey.
